Book of Common Prayer
After a number of experiments with worship in English rather than Latin, the 1662 Book of Common Prayer became the heart of Anglican worship for over three centuries. It is known and loved for its dignified language, and has helped many phrases from the Bible to enter our vocabulary (though many people today do not realise their origin).
The parish of Crondall and Ewshot has always valued the Prayer Book and we continue to use it in at least two services every Sunday across both churches.
