Supporting God’s work in the world

The Christian life involves being alert to injustice and need in society and doing what we can to help.  Many charitable organisations have expertise in particular areas, and so through the course of a year, the PCC chooses a spread of these charities to which we give our prayers and financial support.

Organisations we have supported include:

Church Housing Trust

Oasis

Step by Step

Camphill Trust

Shared Interest Foundation

Poppy Appeal

The Children's Society

Mission to Seafarers

Bishop's Lent Call

Christian Aid

Naomi House Hospice

Chernobyl Children's Lifeline

Combat Stress

Harvest Charity: Kidzcare Tanzania

Kidzcare Tanzania

Last year the PCC decided to support the work of Marceline Hoyle, who is helping at an orphanage near Dar es Salaam in Tanzania.

Marceline, David, and their three children live on Dippenhall Street, Crondall, but have moved to Tanzania with David’s work for WWF.  Marceline is helping to set up a productive vegetable garden in the grounds of the children’s home to improve the diet of the children and to provide some income from sales of fruit & vegetables.
