Our Vision

The PCC of 2008 had a vision that by 2010 we would be able to say that our churches are:

  • Focal points of each community
  • Including people of all ages and backgrounds, in a variety of activities, including worship
  • Underpinned by prayer
  • Places where people who live out their faith in everyday life enjoy worshipping and meeting together

To achieve this the PCC decided to:

  1. Find out the needs of the wider community, including the occasional and non-churchgoers.
  2. Investigate and develop a variety of services.
  3. Employ a youth/children's worker.
  4. Encourage corporate and private prayer.
  5. Identify, train and empower a team of pastoral visitors.

By mid-2009 all of these actions have been implemented, to varying degrees. 2010 therefore represents a time for taking stock - to ask ourselves "Are we there yet?", and to seek direction for the future.
